We get on the roof, photograph what we find, and tell you what it actually needs. Including, quite often, nothing.
A roof inspection that happens from the driveway is not an inspection. We get on the roof wherever it is safe to do so, and we work through the things that actually fail on the Alabama Gulf Coast rather than a generic checklist:
Every inspection comes with pictures of what we found, and they are yours to keep. That matters more than it sounds. If you ever file a wind claim, a dated set of photographs showing the roof’s condition before the storm is genuinely useful evidence, and almost nobody has one.
It also means you are not taking our word for it. If we tell you a pipe boot has split, you can see the split.
The most important one. Wind routinely breaks shingle seals without removing shingles, so the roof looks fine and leaks weeks later, after the claim window has narrowed.
Late spring. Finding a failed boot or loose flashing in May is a small job. Finding it in September is a wet ceiling.
A roof is the single most expensive thing on a coastal home to get wrong. We will tell you roughly how much service life is left before you commit.
Not because it needs replacing, but because on this coast that is the point at which annual checks start paying for themselves.
We can tell you whether your home is a realistic candidate for the grant before you spend time on an application.
We will not tell you that you need a new roof when you do not. That is the entire reason free inspections have a bad reputation in this industry, and it is a reasonable thing to be suspicious of.
The commercial logic is simple enough: we would rather do a $500 repair for somebody who calls us again in six years for the replacement than sell one unnecessary roof and never hear from them. If your roof is fine, we will say it is fine and leave.
Even a minor one. Free, fast, and it establishes what the storm did while it is still provable.
A documented roof condition removes the biggest unknown in a coastal home sale.
Worth knowing whether a FORTIFIED upgrade would bring it back down.
Water travels. The entry point is rarely above the stain.
On this coast, that is the point to start watching rather than waiting.
Plenty of our inspections end with "you have got years left." That is a legitimate outcome.
An inspector who does not work this coast will look at a Gulf Shores roof and see a roof. They will miss the corroded fastener heads, the boot that has three seasons left in this UV, and the shingles on the windward slope that lift by hand. Those are the findings that matter here, and they come from working on these roofs every week.
Our office is at 1404 W 1st St Unit B, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. We are not dispatching a crew from another state after a storm and we are not guessing at what Baldwin County requires — Gulf Shores is where we work every week. Call (251) 313-4853 and you will be talking to somebody who knows the difference between a West Beach roof and one north of the Intracoastal.
A lot of free roof inspection jobs touch Storm & Hurricane Damage, Roof Repair, FORTIFIED Roofs and Roof Replacement as well — we handle all of it, so there is one company on the property and one warranty at the end. You can see everything on the services page, and we work throughout Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and the rest of south Baldwin County.
Photographed, honest, no obligation — and genuinely free.
